My Poetry

I am a member of the ' The International Poetry' Association, based in Florida, USA. I received the "Editors Choice Award 2000" for my poem 'Love' and "Best tyro Poet of 2002" for my poem 'Friends' through this association. There are some poems which have been printed by the International Poetry Association and those books are available in the market.
My poem 'Friends' and 'Confession' were selected by the NDTV book editors for print and is posted on their website too. You would find some of my poems at POETRY, and SULEKHA too. Moreover, I was nominated as the Best Poet 2003 by the International Poetry editors and have also received accolades from my University poetry competitions. Extracurricular Activities

Awards and Accolades: I have received accolades as one of the "best student leaders" in August 2002. In August 2003 I received an award: "Outstanding student in community service and leadership in the ASU campus". I have also received awards from International poetry community for one of the best tyro poet and was nominated for the BEST Poet 2003.

Campus Activities: In my undergraduate college I was secretary of TEESA ( a college association for intra college academic and cultural activities). I was also a member of Child Relief and You. I have received accolades for being the Best Instrumentalist and percussionist. I used to help the committee to conduct the Socials every year. In my graduate college (Arizona State University) I, as part of some organizations, have conducted many cultural, and social events. I was in charge of accommodation and solving queries for the Indian students coming every semester and in 2003 I became the President of ISA. Some of the events conducted recently are: Welcome party for the new comers, Live concert for AID, ASU Olympics on behalf of ISA, Fund Raising for students with medical problems, Holi, and Diwali. Some of the most well known events are: Pt. Shiv Kumar concert at ASU, Shobana Concert, welcome party for the newcomers of Fall 2003, Helping the Indian Teachers coming to Arizona, Fall sports and many educational events as part of the IEEE committee. I am also deigning a flash based CD for a professor in ASU MBA regarding SAP models for undergraduates. Hobbies and Achievements: My hobbies include reading novels, especially suspense and thrillers. I am fascinated with the beauty of the nature and relations, hence my poems are based on them. You will find some good one liners and poems posted on this website. Some of my poems are live on the NDTV website [Books Section], International Poetry website and some ecard websites. I also write short stories, shayari's, songs and one liners. I am a proud member of "International Poetry Association". My hobbies also include playing percussion instruments, singing, website development and design. I have been nominated as the Best Poet 2003 and received accolades from NDTV books section. Some of my poems are printed by the International poetry community. I have received appreciation as Best Percussionist and Best conductor of Socials. I love event handling and conducting social events for the needy. I have been included as one of the Indian Artists on the India Info webiste [Link provided under the poetry section].

Campus Job Experience: I have had a good experience working in the ASU campus. In the first year I was the webmaster for the ASU Student Media ( State Press online version). It was a good learning experience as far as web design and developments were concerned. I am working as a Practical Training Advisor for the International Students Office. We deal with Immigration matters, practical training approvals for the International community at ASU. We work in close relations with the ASU ABOR and USCIS. I have also worked with many professors at ASU and BATU and it has been a memorable experience for me.

I have received accolades for standing first in the first and third year of my Undergraduation. I was topper in subjects like Power Electronics, Satellite communications, Propagation and antennas, Telematics, and Communication systems. My Final Year project was at Bhabha Atomic Research Center, based on microprocessor up-gradation for fuel handling, of the reactors. The final year college project dealt with an automated lung testing machine using microprocessor 8086. The project tested the capacity of the lung and volume of air inhaled / exhaled. My Master of Science research deals with wireless network security protocol and data aggregation, which included projects on secured link layer systems. Some of my research works are discussed on the research webpage on this webpage.

I am interested in Wireless Communications, Network Security, Network Management, Data security, and Protocol Development. I am proficient in : Mac, Win 95/98/2000/NT , Novell Netware, MS DOS. I am expert at MS Office (word, excel, power point, access), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Dream weaver, Html, SQL, Java, Uml, Front Page Editor, Assembly Language, C, KEIL, WinCVS, LabVIEW, Data Acquisition Softwares (National Instruments products/softwares) and Flash MX. I know networking Technologies like TCP/IP, FTP, Frame Relay, ATM and wireless standards like 802.11 standards, 802.15.4, CDMA and GSM standards. I am good at analysis, Website design and development, security protocol development, and people management.
